After printing with Word Mail Merge feature the OMNITRACKER client doesn't respond anymore

Use case:

Start a print task with the mail merge feature. The OMNITRACKER becomes unresponsive while MS Word is opened and loads the data. When closing MS Word after the printing, the interface is freed and the OMNITRACKER Client becomes responsive.

Problem:

At some clients it might happen, that the Client does not become responsive again.

The reason for this effect is that the interface is not completely freed due to restrictive Trust Settings in Word. Please proceed on all affected clients with the following steps:

  1. Open Word and navigate to File > Options.
  2. Click 'Save' and set the option 'Save files in this format' to 'Word Document (*.docx)'.
  3. Navigate to Trust Center and click Trust Center Settings.
  4. Check the flag 'Trust access to the VBA project object model'.
  5. Navigate to Privacy Options.
  6. Check the flag 'Get designs, information, recommendations, and services by allowing Office to access and make product improvements based on Office content on my device.'.
  7. Restart Word and OMNITRACKER.
